The "Application Cache" status is not updated.

Yes, it is known bug and we working on it to resolve it.  The technical reason for the error is, we are calling the option window.html using iframe.  where the display method will not getting work in active. so, we working on it to find alternate way to display application cache status.  we have some idea to resolve it and may get resolved in few days  .

When you change the translation direction, it would gets re-executed.

An appreciable idea  , immediately i'll implement it.  There are two reasons for having translation button alive. one is, if you want to get list of first 100 items in dictionary, just hit translation button to get it.  and another reason is safety purpose (where ever instant search fails to work).  may be in future we would remove it if at all there is no requirement for this button .

We purposefully designed like that to have DfM information bar is overlaying everything.  It would happens only if you also open up the options.  if you close the options, then it'll show perfectly.  Anyway kindly mention the browser to understand the problem better.

Dear DfM Users and Lovers,

We glad to announce that, our DfM webApp is getting ready to support more languages.  The test link is as follows:

We also implemented instant search feature to make our users more comfortable.  Further, we planning to implement some other add-on features with DfM webApp.  So, we ultimately need your suggestions and comments about our DfM webApp 2 to make better dictionary experience.

Kindly try to implement notification feature in DfM app.  If you found difficult to implement notification service to DfM. then, i have an idea to make intimations about new dictionaries, latest news, asking supports and sharing other informations.

You can create a small information bar either at top or bottom of the app.  Which can provide informations to user by fetching it from server (as and when the user get connected to internet).  It's nothing but more similar to google ads in other applications.

The initialisation and implementation may be more similar to "Dictionaries List".  This idea may not require more codings and need not to use third party api's (like google's push notification api).

I guess, phildict is actually meant for  http://www.charbase.com/a78c-unicode-latin-small-letter-saltillo.  It can be replaced by \' as temporary solution.

Yeah....!!! DfM webApp is working smoother and faster....

Now, DfM is available in all platforms.

I guess, Gert will expand DfM webApp to support more than 2 languages.

Thanks for making a great application with continious improvements.  At this time, yet another feature is require to add in DfM.  It's nothing but, notifiacation feature for new dictionaries.

If you add dictionaries to the list, then the app should notify users about new dictionaries.  It'll bring the attention of users toward new dictionaries.

At present, the users are need to refresh the dictionaries list every time to know about additions of new dictionaries.  If the user hasn't refreshed the dictionaries list, then they will not getting know about new dictionaries.

The Metro UI is ready to release with webApp.  Hmmm, I tried atmost to provide better and universal look in all browser.  I think it got worked....  I'm waiting for your feedback to improve it more.

It has been tested with some browsers and the report is:

3. PC IE8 : Working (I don't have IE 9/10 to test it),
4. Android Chrome : Working,

Dear Stars Soft, I have a question, is this structure implemented for all dictionaries (the names in < and > are placeholders):
<dictionary name>/<dictionary version>/<dictionary>.zip?

• the dictionary JAR file, packed in ZIP file together with JAD and copyright files, needs to be uploaded to the Sourceforge FRS
• download page needs to be amended (dictxxx.html).

At present, i'm taking care of this.  If you provide write access to "/home/pfs/project/dictionarymid"  directory in "frs.sourceforge.net". then, it would be more easy to upload files via sftp client.

   

• the dictionary JAR needs to be manually added to the 'Android dictionary database' (Achim it is manually, right ?)

While publishing every dictionary, i use to send a mail to achim with dictionaries names and links. Achim is planned to create a script to automate it.

• the dictionary JAR file needs to be extracted for the WebApp (this is done by a shell script; separate posting to explain follows).

I don't have any idea about executing shell script.  If i get understand about executing shell script, i'll do it as soon as the files get uploaded.

• I guess in the future we also need to provide a line for the WebApp on the download page. Hmmm, any ideas on this ? We should put additional links for the WebApp for each dictionary on the download page, or any other idea ?

It would be better to have seperate page for webApps with copyright informations and precondition elements (like caching should be enabled, etc.,).


It's greate to know that DfM is now available in all platforms.

question: would it make sense to let the user choose in an option dialogue ? Well, would that be possible with reasonable effort ? Hmmm, guess that would make things too complicated.

It is good idea, with some javascripting it is possible.  But, This is not right to implement it. We'll try it in future.

My part of work is pending to release better webApp DfM.  Kindly choose one of UI for improvements.

I've tested webApp with EngLat (IDP) dictionary.  The translation layer is working perfectly with chrome.

I've added two new UI with Black and White Shades.

Now we have 5 UI's, which are all in beta stage. It need more improvements.  improving all the UI's will consume more time.

The improvements would be: adding scroll bar to result table, optionWindow sliding in effect, make header and footer sticky and some minor tweeks with color, font size, style, etc.,

It's time to choose one UI and make improvement on it.  Gert, kindly choose one UI and i'll make some improvement to get Final and Better UI.

We are thinking alike.  Because, yesterday itself i've implemented sliding effect for option in mini_hmi.  Click on the option to get sliding effect.  I'm also working with other themes to provide better UI experiance.  In next few days i'll release one by one.
