I'm having with the PC Java version (DfM_OmegaWiki_Top40_3.5.9). The program isn't opening. I'm using JRE 1.8, Windows 64bit. When I try to run DfM, Java flashes and then immediately closes.
Are you sure, that you really use the PC version of DfM?
The DfM PC client is just a reader for the DfM dictionaries. That means, open the DictionaryForMIDs.jar file and open the dictionary you want, like the DfM_OmegaWiki_Top40_3.5.9.jar file.
More information and download here: http://dictionarymid.sourceforge.net/pc.html
On my PC it works (used the current Java 8 version from Oracle; tested with the DictionaryForMIDs_EngGer_FreeDic.jar and DfM_OmegaWiki_Top40_3.5.9.jar):

ahah yes, that was the problem, I was trying to open the dictionary file rather than the reader. However, when I open the top40 dictionary file, I'm showed this warning (first pic) and then when I load it, clicking on entries doesn't show complete information (see second picture)
Yeah, that can't be fixed, because the custom code is not compatible with Java SE.
