Did new tests with Opera 12.13 (current version): Works still great with most dictionaries, but sometimes reloading page after first visit might be needed to get it working.

Some dictionaries throw an exception like this:
http://dictionarymid.sourceforge.net/WebApp/dictionaries/dictionary%20EngGer%20(freedict)/
<dictionarymid.sourceforge.net>
Thrown de.kugihan.dictionaryformids.general.CouldNotOpenPropertyFileException: Property file could not be opened: DictionaryForMIDs.properties / Property file could not be opened: DictionaryForMIDs.properties

Since one year there is a new version of the dictionary "German car signs", but the android app is still downloading the very old version. Please update the download list :-)

Thanks for your answer. The new version fixes that problem. Word is now selected, which makes it easy to enter a new word. Also if I deselect that word, I'm now able to put the input cursor behind that word easily. Thats great, thank you.

I also like the new search-as-you-type feature, it works good here. :-)

Happy new year! :-)

I use this application version 0.14 on my Samsung GalaxyTab 10.1 with Android 3.1. It works great with one exception.

The input cursor in the search field is always at position 0, which is annoying if there is already a word which has to be deleted first. I have to grab the cursor by hand and put it behind it. Just clicking behind that word don't help. Maybe you can change this behavior?

Problems / Re: incompleate language 2 texts display

First: You need the complete source of Dictionary for Mids, you can't just compile this one file alone.
Second: You have to use the J2ME compiler, not the J2SE compiler.

Did new tests with current browser versions:

Internet Explorer 9 (Windows): Don't work
Opera 11.51 (Windows): Works
Opera Mobile 11.10 (Android): Works, but sometimes error messages while loading property file
Firefox 7.0.1 (Windows): Works
Chrome 14 (Windows): Works

  • If incremental search is enabled, then after a "change translation direction" the translation is automatically executed

Just had time to test this with the Eng-Ger dictionary. Works great, thanks for implementing it :).

Just tested both with Opera 11.10 (Windows version), works with and without cache.

I installed another forum modification which add a second "human proof" to the register page. Maybe this helps?

Just to show how save captcha images are: http://caca.zoy.org/wiki/PWNtcha

There is almost nothing we can do know. Just hope that the next major version of this forum use another captcha system, which maybe save for another 6 month.

I think only the developers of the commercial dictionary knows the structure of the .dat file. Because the ending .dat only means database, which is not more classified. Its simple a file that holds data. But the way how the data is stored is the decision of the developer.

But maybe the dictionary application has an export feature. If not, there is no easy/legal way to get the data running with DFM.

Puh ! Yes, this was a really good decision !!

And I remember that when you proposed to switch to a new forum, then first I was hesitant to do so - now I am very glad that you did insist to switch to this new forum !!

Yeah, I am most times skeptical with free services, if they do not runs good.

By the way, I updated this forum two days ago (most security fixes).

Now I see that the company of the old forums stopped the service and deleted all forums. So it was a good decision to switch the forum :).
