Hello Guys!
I have the Motorola Razzr V6 and installed the "DictionaryForMIDs_3.1.2_ChiGer_HanDeDict" on it. My Problem is, that it won't show the Hanzi- instead it shows squares like this: [].
Also it doesn't work with pinyin to german, only from german to chinese.
Any idea what's wrong? THX!
Did you activate the bitmap fonts in the Settings dialogue ?
Gert
I dont't find any entry for the bitmap font. In the settings menu i just see the following options:
-Search options
-Translation list
-Coulored display(active)
-show statistics
-font size
-select language
So your settings dialogue does not look like the attached ?
Gert
It's the same except for the "Use Bitmap font" .
Hmmm, maybe Sebastian knows more about this !

@pinyin search: you have to switch the language to chinese and enter it like "xuesheng". As I try this, it works...
@font: if your mobile doesn't support chinese fonts you have to use bitmap fonts.
DFM_HanDeDict_3.1.2. has bitmapfont included.
If the bitmap-font is not loaded correctly, the settings dialog will not show this option.
So why does it not load proper on the Razzr V6?
I don't know.
But there is the possibility to switch on debugging output via the *.jad-file:
set log-level to 1 or 2.
And then see whats written on the screen of the mobile..
Sebastian
I tried to do it, deleted it from my phone and tried to install it with your *.jad settings, but now it even cannot be installed- application failure :(
In the original JAD file there should be the following line:
logLevel: 0
Can you just change the 0 to a 2 (or maybe 3):
logLevel: 2
Only changing this one letter. Please use a 'normal' editor. On Windows something like the notepad should do.
Then is should work without a problem.
Regards,
Gert
Problem solved- just took the prerelease4 version of 3.2.0 and inserted the dictionary of version 3.1.2. Now everything works fine- just great! :)
Ah, that's interesting ... !
Hey, now that you know how to migrate a dictionary to a new version of DfM, maybe you would like to do it for the others also ... ;) See homepage -> we need your support -> Maintaining dictionaries available with the latest version of DictionaryForMIDs !

Gert
